CARE International, Office in Kosovo met with Employment Agency of the Republic of Kosovo

Today, on June 1, to discuss on the possibilities of cooperation on the implementation of activities related to youth employment within the project “Kosovo Youth Participation – KYP” the project team was welcomed in a meeting by Acting General Director of the Employment Agency of the Republic of Kosovo, Jehona Rexha. The meeting  was attended from the CARE International, Office in Kosovo Project Manager, Merita Bytyçi Kelmendi and Grants Officer, Gjylymser Nallbani.

During the meeting were revealed the details of activities that will provide opportunities for professional capacity building of young people age (18 – 25) and 6-month paid internship in private businesses in eight targeted municipalities of the project.

Activities of the project “Kosovo Youth Participation – KYP” among other aim to develop employment skills through trainings and internship programs which will be organized in cooperation with local private businesses which operate in eight targeted municipalities. Furthermore, the project is not limited to providing these opportunities, but at the same time, it will be a source to learn more about the value and importance of volunteering so the younger generation will work toward an inclusive society.

Among others, Rexha shared more of the opportunities that the Employment Agency of the Republic of Kosovo offers to young people who are registered as job seekers, thus preparing them professionally for the labor market.
