For five months, starting from February 2024, the Women’s Network “Qeliza” Gjakovë as a beneficiary of sub-grants from the Financial Support for Third Parties of the “Kosovo Youth Participation – KYP” project has managed to implement the project “EmpowerHer – Bridging the futures of young women in digital marketing” in the municipality of Gjakova.
The project aimed to increase the employment of young women in the dynamic field of digital marketing by conducting capacity-building workshops focusing on SEO, content creation, and social media marketing; developing internship programs in digital marketing companies thus offering young women internships at work; as well as the challenge of digital marketing.
Over the past five months, the Women’s Network “Qeliza” Gjakovë has successfully trained five women, aged 18-29, in Digital Marketing and content development. Each participant completed a three-month paid internship with preselected businesses relevant to their field. Following this program and the skill-building it provided, one of these women has secured regular employment.
The core mission of Women’s Network “Qeliza” Gjakovë revolves around providing support to women in their endeavors to broaden their roles and make meaningful contributions to society. They are dedicated to empowering women and promoting their active participation in society by advocating for their social and political rights through civil activism.
This activity is being implemented within the framework of the Kosovo Youth Participation – KYP project implemented by the CARE International office in Kosovo, with the financial support of the European Union (EU) office in Kosovo.
