PRINT ZONE LLC as sub-grantee of KYP project has offered employment opportunities for two girls in Peja

In Peja, Kosovo, PRINT ZONE LLC implemented the 10-month project: “Expanding Business with the Aim of Employing Girls”. This project promotes gender equality and women and girls’ representation in the dynamic marketing and advertising business. PRINT ZONE LLC acquired a machine to improve 2D and 3D advertising material manufacturing through European Union funding within the Kosovo Youth Participation – KYP project. The goal was to provide women and girls with an equal opportunity in a man-dominated sector and give them professional and practical skills to become self-sufficient in business and employment.

   

 

PRINT ZONE LLC successfully hired two interns for their project. From March 20, 2023, 27-year-old Deniza Habibi worked in small press and consumer communication. Marigona Hoti, 29, started her internship on August 15, 2023, in the big press sector specializing in digital equipment. The interns received training to improve their job abilities, supporting the project’s inclusion and gender balance aims. PRINT ZONE LLC has also optimized and improved work capacity to hire additional women who would learn advertising, small press operations, design, and local market research. From the support, that PRINT ZONE LLC received the company achieved to create two full-time job places for the two new interns.

The goal was to provide women and girls with an equal opportunity in a man-dominated sector and give them professional and practical skills to become self-sufficient in business and employment. The projected acquisition of this machine has shown a 30% increase in sales, as the implementation of digital equipment has significantly reduced production time and improved its quality.

With the implementation of this comprehensive strategy, PRINT ZONE LLC aspired to achieve significant positive transformations in their business operations, while simultaneously promoting gender inclusivity and fostering economic development within their community.

This activity was implemented within the Kosovo Youth Participation – KYP project with the financial support of the Office of the European Union in Kosovo.
