Instituti për Zhvillim dhe Integrim (IZHI) Empowers Young People for the Labor Market

The non-governmental organization IZHI, through the project “Youth Activation through Internship Programs” on March 19 and 20, organized two days of soft skills training for the youth of the municipality of Fushë Kosova/Kosovo Polje and Obiliq/Obilić.

During the training, the participants selected in cooperation with the Local Employment Offices, followed an intensive agenda on how to write a CV, and cover letter and expanded their knowledge in the main communication skills. Moreover, they have addressed the importance of empathy in the workplace and emotional intelligence as key attributes for a healthy and proactive work culture.

Through the two-day training, 12 young people aged 15-29 were equipped with new knowledge on the demands of the modern labor market.

Furthermore, throughout the training process, the IZHI organization aligned the participants’ profiles with the demands of the labor market, thereby facilitating five individuals with the chance to engage in a paid internship program within local businesses spanning three months.

   

One of the participants expressed: “The training was a good opportunity to learn more about the demands of the labor market, and with the presence of the trainer we were able to exchange our experiences and get professional opinions.

This activity is being implemented within the framework of Financial Support for Third Parties (FSTP) of the Kosovo Youth Participation – KYP project implemented by the CARE International, office in Kosovo, with the financial support of the European Union (EU) office in Kosovo.
