Inauguration of the Local Action “Street Bump” in Rahovec

Today, February 3 the KYP Project team made the inauguration of the first Local Action “Speed Bump” to promote the safety of traffic near the school for the students.

To show their support present at this event were the Director of the Youth Sector of the Directory of Culture, Youth, and Sports Mr. Qemajl Krasniqi, representatives of the “Hareja” organization, and the Police of Kosovo. A group of four young students led by Adrijana Berisha and coordinated by SHL-Kosova implemented this activity. 13 more similar local actions will be supported with the amount of 1,000EUR in seven other target municipalities within the KYP project.

The aim of such local actions is to improve a general understanding of the problems young people are facing in Kosovo and create a more enabling environment for the social participation of youth. Through local actions, which will be organized, the communities will raise awareness of the necessity and benefits of the higher participation of youth in social life.
