CARE International office in Kosovo in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports promotes the State Strategy for Youth 2024 – 2032

In the framework of the project “Kosovo Youth Participation” – KYP, CARE International office in Kosovo in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) today conducted the first information session with students of the “Ismail Dumoshi” high school in municipality of Obiliq/Obilić.

Over 30 young people from this school had the opportunity through the presentation of the MCYS representative, Mrs. Filloreta Kuqi, Senior Official for Promotion / Non-Formal Education to learn about the steps taken by the ministry to compile the State Strategy for Youth for the years 2024 – 2032 and how young people through this strategy will be encouraged to be part of different activities.

During this session, the MCYS representative for the first time shared with the young participants the latest innovation that MCYS will offer for young people, namely the electronic registration for the use of the European Youth Card. This card, supported and implemented by MCYS, will give young people aged 15-29 access to over 60,000 discounts and benefits on services and products in Europe. As well all young participants were informed that to use this card they must download the EYC application on Android or Apple IOS by searching for “European Youth Card”.

MCYS will start to equip every young person in Kosovo with EYC from April 2024.

Similar informational sessions will be held during April in the municipalities of Deçan/Dečani, Fushë Kosova/Kosovo Polje, Gjakova/Đakovica, Junik/Junik, Peja/Peć, Rahovec/Orahovac, and Suharekë/Suva Reka.
