Foundation BONEVET Peja has closed out successfully the project “Education for Employment”

Sub-grantee BONEVET Peja has implemented the project “Education for Employment” from 1 February to 30 June 2024 with financial support in the amount of 8,000EUR.

The aim of the “Education for Employment” project was to offer a practical and qualitative educational development program that is relevant to the demands of the labor market for young people in Kosovo. In this way, enabling beneficiaries to easily connect with the labor market. Through this project, a total of 15 young people from the region of Peja have benefited from professional training in the field of graphic design, CNC & Laser, training for 3D Design & 3D Printing.

The young people, in addition to the training they received from the trainers of BONEVET Peja, five of them were enrolled in internship programs in different companies. This provided hands-on experience and developed skills in customer requests and how to cooperate with them. After three months of the paid internship program, two of five youngsters have benefited from a regular employment contract. The interns who have continued working after the internship program are:

  1. Adelina Medunjanin, Pejë, 22 years old, Graphic Design, “PRO Print SHPK”; and
  2. Erion Shala, Pejë, 25 years old, Operator in CNC, “Enter Studio”.

The project with CARE International has helped BONEVET Peja to offer free professional training as well as to offer internship programs in different companies. BONEVET Peja, through the project, has managed to inform the citizens of the municipality of Peja about the professional training it offers. Also, people with different professions have lectured at BONEVET Peja, increasing the interest of young people in the professional training offered there. From the financial side, BONEVET Peja has managed to have in its portfolio a project with CARE International, where the budget was mainly dedicated to the salaries of the staff who contributed to the realization of the project, to the interns who completed the internship in different companies, as well as for the purchase of training materials provided by the project.

The BONEVET Peja Foundation is a non-governmental and non-profit organization, which functions as an informal educational institution for children and young people. It is a learning and development environment equipped with state-of-the-art technology and Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) educational curricula and carefully designed creative workspaces that enable the discovery and development of skills in young people.

The mission of BONEVET Peja is to empower and support young people in turning their ideas into reality, their development as creative entrepreneurs, and access to the labor market.

This activity is being implemented within the framework of the Kosovo Youth Participation – KYP project implemented by the CARE International office in Kosovo, with the financial support of the European Union (EU) office in Kosovo.
